About Us
Crossroads Christian Church is an independent, nondenominational fellowship of believers who seek to follow Christ and wear only His name.
God's Vision for Our Ministry
The mission of this church was established 2,000 years ago when, during his physical ministry on earth, Jesus Christ laid out the blueprint for his Church. Each week, we spend time in God's word growing and learning more what it means to be disciples and to serve as his body - the Church. Through our study, a primary statement has become the guiding force for our congregation:
"Building a Church of Great Commandment, Great Commission People."
The History of Our Campus
The vision for an East side congregation was first formed in the 1940s, However Cullen Avenue Christian Church first opened its doors in 1969. In 1997, it changed its name to Crossroads Christian Church in anticipation of a move to Newburgh. One year later, we held our first service at the Newburgh campus, and Crossroads has continued to grow its family. In 2007, we celebrated our 40th anniversary.
Affiliations
Crossroads shares a common heritage with about 5,000 churches worldwide known as the Christian Churches / Churches of Christ. The principle of this movement is to restore today's church life as dictated by the teachings of the New Testament.
Although we exist apart from any external authority or control, we do participate with other churches in many projects and programs that exalt Jesus Christ and spread the Gospel.
