Our ministry leaders are ready to work with you to help you find a place to serve in ministry that will be fruitful for the Kingdom and that best reflects your unique blend of gifts, abilities and experiences. Computers & Office Administration
Decision Processing – Assist with processing decision cards on Tuesday afternoons. Requires simple computer processing skills. Training provided. Serve 1-2 hours on Tuesday afternoon. Contact Lea Deisher at 858-3080, ext. 302.
Daily Hospital List Assistance – Assist in compiling our hospital visitation list in the morning. Make 3-5 phone calls, update and e-mail the hospital list to staff. Training provided. Serve 1 hour in the morning daily (or however often you can). Contact Kristi Mangold at 858-3080, ext. 394.
Adult Education Admin Assistance – We need some help recording weekend class attendance records on Monday mornings and distributing new attendance cards on Friday. Requires simple computer skills. Weekly Preschool Attendance Assistance – We need help recording preschool attendance and then sending out ministry postcards. Requires simple computer processing skills. Serve 2-3 hours a week - may be done on your home computer. Training provided. Contact Tammy Caldwell at 858-3080, ext. 724.
Copying Assistance – Make copies of newspaper and magazine articles and other items used in research. Training provided. Serve 1-2 hours, 1-2 days per week at your convenience. Contact Samantha Miller at 858-3080, ext. 308.
Music Library Data Entry – Help us build our music library by entering book/audio/video titles, song titles, and other music-related information into our database. Hours are very flexible with data entry done here at Crossroads. Training provided. Contact Julia Lee at 858-3080, ext. 306.
Children’s Midweek Administrative Team – Assist with a variety of tasks such as producing photo-ID badges, updating family registrations, sending out lesson plans and information to volunteers, and assembling crafts, activities, and games for the weekend program. Prayer Opportunities
Pre-Service Prayer – Join us in prayer for our weekend worship services. The team meets for about 15 minutes of focused prayer on Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM in room AD104. Contact Pat Creech at 858-3080, ext. 386.
Ministry Prayer Teams – All of our ministry teams are welcoming those who will pray with and for their ministries and those they serve. You are invited to contact any church ministry in which you have an interest and join them in their prayer opportunities.

Guest Services Ministry
Guest Services Administrator – Looking for a behind-the-scenes administrator to organize our Guest Services Ministries. Prepare schedules, write letters, coordinate new servant packets, and make 3-5 serving reminder calls. Training provided. Serve 1-2 hours per week. Contact Eric Cummings at 858-3080, ext. 383.
Connection Center Host – Assist weekend guests at the Connection Center in the Lobby during weekend services. Help people find information and register for ministry programs, classes and events. Café Team – Join our café team in preparing and serving Sunday-morning refreshments and greeting guests in the Atrium. Serve one Sunday morning per month. Contact Eric Cummings at 858-3080, ext. 383.
Communion Server Coordinators – Server Coordinators recruit communion and offering servers to assist in their section during one weekend service. Contact Eric Cummings at 858-3080, ext. 383.
Communion Prep Team – Assist in the preparation and clean up of communion trays each weekend. Saturday and Sunday opportunities available. Great family serving opportunity. Contact Eric Cummings at 858-3080, ext. 383.
Worship Center Prep Team – Invest about one hour a week preparing a section of the Worship Center for weekend services. Check and refill the pew racks with pens, Bibles, and guest literature. Worship Center Clean-up Team – Assist with a light clean-up of the Worship Center after a weekend service. Remove the communion cups and tidy-up the pews after any weekend service. Great family serving opportunity. Contact Eric Cummings at 858-3080, ext. 383.
Resource Center Assistant - Assist people in the Resource Center with finding and checking-out resources with purchases during weekend worship times. Training is provided and opportunities are available for all weekend service times. Contact Lisa Corbett at 858-3080, ext. 355.

The Nursery (up to 3 Years) • A background screening is required for all volunteers that work with children.
Nursery Caregivers – Our Nursery is growing and we need loving hearts and hands to care for the youngest of our Crossroads kids. Serve during one service, once per month. Contact Michele Combs at 858-3080, ext. 336.
Nursery 2's Teachers – No preparation is required as we supply lesson, craft and snacks for you. We need warm, loving and patient people who are consistent and energetic. Serve every other month. Contact Michele Combs at 858-3080, ext. 336.
Nursery/Preschool Welcome Center – A friendly smile is all that’s needed to serve at the Welcome Center. Register and provide ID tags to children according to their birth date. Serve every other month. Contact Michele Combs at 858-3080, ext. 336.

Preschool (3 years – Kindergarten) - A background screening is required for all volunteers that work with children.

Preschool Teacher's Assistants – Adults and teens needed to assist a Preschool Teacher. No preparation required. Serve once a month. Training is provided. Contact Tammy Caldwell at 858-3080, ext. 341.
Preschool Service Coordinators - Assist in maintaining the flow of the service by supplying teachers with needed supplies, answering questions, and helping with check in and check out. Serve on a monthly rotation, 1-2 hours during any weekend service. Contact Tammy Caldwell at 858-3080, ext. 341.
Preschool Craft Preparation – Help with gathering supplies and preparing crafts for the Preschool Teachers. This group meets Thursday nights from 6:00-8:00 PM, but can also be done from home. Contact Tammy Caldwell at 858-3080, ext. 341.
Preschool Puppeteers – Teens and adults welcome to join us in performing Bible lessons using pre-recorded scripts and full body puppets. No experience necessary and training is provided. Serve 1-2 Sundays a month (with a Sunday rehearsal). Contact Tammy Caldwell at 858-3080, ext. 341.
C.E. Room Leader – Need adults to work in the Christian Education Room (supply room) to provide teachers with the supplies needed for their lessons that day. Adventure Club Jr. - Club leaders needed to reinforce the lesson taught at the 9:00 AM Sunday service. This club is for kids who have already attended Sunday School the previous hour. Children’s Ministry (Grades 1-5) - A background screening is required for all volunteers that work with children.
Light Company Leaders & Assistants – The Light Company needs adults and teenagers to lead children (grades 1-5) in registration, recreation, class sessions, snack time, electives, and the family meal on Wednesday afternoons. Training provided. Contact Angela Hoffman at 858-3080, ext. 328.
Sontown Guest Services – Welcome new families by assisting them with the registration and check-in process for Sontown. Serve 1 hour per week prior to service. Contact Bill Bowley at 858-3080, ext. 327.
Sontown Small Group Leader – Serve as a small group leader for Sontown, our weekend service for elementary age students. Shepherd our elementary age kids by building relationships with them in a small group and encouraging them to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Serve 2 hours per week. Substitute Sontown Small Group Leader – Lead a Sontown small group time when a regular leader is absent. Assist in leading a group of visiting, seeker, or inconsistently attending children. Serve 2 hours, 1-3 times per month. Contact Bill Bowley at 858-3080, ext. 327.

Middle School Ministry (Grades 6-8) - A background screening is required for all volunteers that work with students.
D-Group Leader / Co-Leader – D-Groups are our weekly discipleship small groups for teens. Lead or co-lead a small group of Middle School students in weekly study and fellowship. Interview and training process required. Contact Mark Silen at 858-3080, ext. 331.
Insight Co-Teacher – Insight is our Sunday-morning Bible study class for teens. Assist in teaching one of the Middle School Sunday-morning classes. Contact Mark Silen at 858-3080, ext. 331.
New Community Leader / Co-Leader – This is a high-energy outreach program that explores faith issues with teens. Lead or co-lead discussion times, plan serving opportunities, and build relationships with Middle School students. Serve weekly on Sunday nights from August-May. Special Events Youth Sponsor – Participate in one-time youth events that occur throughout the year (camps, retreats, cookouts, pool parties, summer activities). Refer to the Middle School Ministry Calendar for upcoming events. Contact Mark Silen at 858-3080, ext. 331.
Prayer Team Leader – Coordinate a team of people who will pray regularly for the Middle School ministry. Establish a team gathering time and place (weekly or monthly). Contact Shaun Dunkel at 858-3080, ext. 375.

Scheduling Programmer – Assist with entering Middle School ministry activities into the church’s internet-based event scheduling program. Can be done in the church office or from home (computer and internet access required to serve from home). Serve monthly as needed. Some computer experience helpful, training provided. High School Ministry (Grades 9-12) - A background screening is required for all volunteers that work with students.
Fusion Group Leader / Co-Leader – Fusion Groups are our weekly discipleship small groups for teens. Lead or co-lead a small group of High School students in weekly study and fellowship. You choose the weeknight you are available as well as the time you meet. Interview and training process required. Contact Bill Bowley at 858-3080, ext. 327.
Crave Co-Teacher – Crave is our Sunday-morning Bible study class for teens. Assist in teaching one of the High School Sunday-morning classes. Curriculum provided. Serve weekly as either assistant or lead teacher based on teaching rotation. Contact Bill Bowley at 858-3080, ext. 327.
Axis Co-Leader – Axis is our Sunday-evening outreach program where teens can bring friends to explore faith issues. Lead discussion times and build relationships with students at the weekly gathering. You will also assist in brainstorming and developing creative programming ideas for weekly topics. Young Adults

Barnabas Club – The Barnabas Club is our ministry of encouragement to college students here at Crossroads and away at college. We conduct local fellowship events as well as provide care packages to encourage students. Contact Todd Bussey at 858-3080, ext. 305.

Music & Worship Ministry
Crossroads Church Choir – The Crossroads Church Choir is an active and outreach-oriented group. Starting in the fall, the choir supports weekend worship once a month and is a key element of our special holiday and spring worship events. The choir also travels throughout the region reaching out to others. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings. No audition is required to participate. Contact Julia Lee at 858-3080, ext. 306.
Vocal Teams – The vocal teams consist of a variety of singing ensembles that support weekend worship activities. Team members reflect a true heart for worship and are able to sing harmoniously in a small group. Each team sings in worship on a rotating schedule with rehearsal the week prior to worship participation. Vocal interview is required. Contact Julia Lee at 858-3080, ext. 306.
Vocal Soloists – Vocal soloists serve during weekend services or at arranged gatherings either with instrumental support, or with the Crossroads Church Choir. Vocal interview is required. Contact Julia Lee at 858-3080, ext. 306.
Crossroads Orchestra – Experienced teen and adult instrumentalists are invited to join our large ensemble of strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion. The orchestra participates in seasonal events and periodically in weekend worship services. No audition is required. Contact Lynta Carter at 858-3080, ext. 388.
Worship Bands – The worship band provides the music for our weekend worship services. The band combines piano, keyboard, lead and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, brass and woodwinds, and percussion along with a variety of musical styles to ensure a unique and meaningful worship experience. High School Choir – Tribute is our high school (grades 9-12) musical group. Using music, drama, and dance, this group participates in a Christmas musical and an outreach tour during the summer. Contact Julia Lee at 858-3080, ext. 306.
Jr. High Choir – Wholehearted is our youth musical ensemble for students in grades 6-8. This group performs a Christmas and a spring musical and drama. Contact Laurie Speciale at 858-3080, ext. 329.
Children’s Choir – King’s Kids is our elementary (grades 1-5) choir. They meet each Wednesday during Light Company, our weekly after-school program for children. Annually, the students present a Christmas and a spring musical. Contact Laurie Speciale at 858-3080, ext. 329.
Sontown Action Teams – Sontown Action Teams are made up of fourth and fifth grade students who love to sing, dance, and worship the Lord. These teams assist our adult worship leaders during Sontown services each weekend. Their primary responsibility is to set a positive worship example for their peers. Preschool Music – Volunteers for the preschool music ministry lead songs and actions for the preschool children in our weekend preschool ministry. Volunteers serve one service per week in a bi-monthly rotation. Contact Laurie Speciale at 858-3080, ext. 329.
Arts Smarts Children’s Camp – Enjoy a week of exploring the creative arts with kids for a week in the summer. If you enjoy working with children and have a knack for creative arts such as music, art, drama, and writing, join us in teaching or assisting teachers for this exciting week of learning. Drama Team – We use both serious and light-hearted drama to illustrate how biblical principles apply to everyday life. Our drama team participates in selected weekend worship services and in special programs. Contact Julia Lee at 858-3080, ext. 306.
Production Teams – Use your talents for make-up, choreography, set design and construction, costumes, and publicity to support our musical drama and concert productions. Contact Julia Lee at 858-3080, ext. 306.
Prop & Costume Organizers – We have a large warehouse of props and costumes for musical, worship and drama events. Your organizational skills are needed to keep our inventory up-to-date and the items stored with care. Contact Julia Lee at 858-3080, ext. 306.

Set-Up Crew – This hard-working and fun-loving team travels with and supports Crossroads Church Choir events. Set-up locations include the Worship Center, local venues, and road trips. Worship Support
Baptism Preparation – Tidy-up and restock baptism preparation rooms. Serve one hour a month. Training is provided. Contact Samantha Miller at 858-3080, ext. 308.
Baptism Assistant – We are looking for volunteers who can be available during the worship service (after the sermon message) to assist with the preparation of baptism candidates as they come forward during decision time. Women’s Ministry
Women's Ministry Bible Study Teachers – In addition to our Wednesday morning Daughters of the King program, Crossroads offers several other women's Bible studies. The teachers of these classes need to have excellent teaching abilities, good people skills, and some administrative gifts. Interview and training process required. Women's Conference Team – This team is responsible for the planning and preparations for a Women's Conference at Crossroads. This position requires several months of commitment. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Fall Breakfast Team – This group of ladies are responsible for planning a fall breakfast and program for the ladies of Crossroads and their friends. This position is for the person who loves to plan events and shop. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Daughters of the King Adult Program Volunteers
Greeter Coordinator – This friendly, enthusiastic person is responsible for organizing the greeters that welcome and assist the ladies coming to DOK. This person trains and schedules the greeter volunteers. Training provided. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Greeters – These are the first happy, smiling faces that our Daughters of the King ladies see as they walk through the doors. Responsibilities include welcoming the ladies, helping them find their classes and their children's classes, collecting money for events and more. An upbeat enthusiastic personality is helpful. Hospitality Volunteers – This is a great job for people who love to work behind the scenes. Coffee making, delivering coffee to classrooms, and cleaning up after DOK are all options if you join this team. Training is provided. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Resource Center Volunteers – If you would enjoy meeting people and helping them in purchasing resources for their DOK classes, this may be the place for you. Each week we have ladies available in the Crossroads Resource Center to assist with questions and purchases. Serve on a rotational basis. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Worship Team – The Daughters of the King Worship Team is very instrumental in setting the tone for our gathering and for leading our hearts to a place of genuine worship. Media Volunteers – The DOK ministry needs a handful of people to assist the Media staff on Wednesday mornings. Good technical skills would be helpful, training is provided. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Adult Small Group Leaders – The DOK small group leaders are very important people in providing leadership, wisdom, and teaching for the ladies who participate in our ministry. This is a position for a mature believer with the gifts of teaching and leadership. Interview and training process required. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Admin Assistance – This position is for the person who loves making copies, organizing, making phone calls, and general office activities. This person assists the Adult Ministries Administrative Assistant in preparing for DOK each week. Daughters of the King Children’s Program Volunteers
Children's Director – The Children's Director oversees the DOK children’s program and volunteers. This person needs a good understanding of preschool children and experience in working with them, as well as good people skills and administration abilities. Interview and training process involved. Storyteller – This enthusiastic person would share Bible stories with approximately 100 children in small groups. A good understanding of God's Word and a love for children would be greatly beneficial in this position. Serve weekly on Wednesday morning. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Recreation Leader – A lot of energy is a must for this opportunity. The recreation leader plans and plays games with 100 children. If playing games is a favorite of yours, then this is the place for you. Serve on a rotation basis. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Snack Teacher – This is the kids’ favorite person. This teacher serves snacks to the children and talks with them about the Bible story they have learned for the day. This is a fun position for a person who loves to interact with young children. Serve on a rotation basis. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Craft Teacher – This person would need to be a bit creative and able to develop crafts projects from a Bible story. Some advance preparation is needed. Serve weekly on Wednesday morning. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Music Teacher – This teacher chooses age appropriate songs and actions for the children to sing and enjoy. Often times, songs are chosen to go along with the day's Bible story. Some knowledge of music and lots of enthusiasm are helpful. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.
Nursery Caregiver – Provide loving care to our littlest ones while moms are off learning and growing. This person would need to enjoy babies and toddlers. Some physical lifting of the babies would be necessary. Serve weekly on Wednesday morning. Contact Corri Brooks at 858-3080, ext. 337.

Care Ministry
Support and Recovery Teams – Leaders, co-leaders, and volunteers are needed for new and existing support and recovery groups. Interview and training process required for leadership roles. Contact Denny Stevenson at 858-3080, ext. 318.
Hospital Visitation Ministry – The Hospital Visitation Ministry (Adopt-a-Day) is looking for caring individuals, couples, or small groups to adopt one day each month to visit Crossroads family members in the hospital. Serve 1-2 hours per month. Contact Rita Beer at 858-3080, ext. 394.
Shut-in Visitation Ministry – The Shut-in Ministry team members visit a Crossroads member who is homebound or in a care facility. Individuals, families, and small groups are welcome. Serve 1 hour per month. Contact Rita Beer at 858-3080, ext. 394.
Financial Advisors – Our advisors provide solid financial advice based on biblical principles to individuals and families who need assistance with their finances. Local & Regional Outreach
The Evansville Task Force (ETF) – The Evansville Task Force is a group of outreach and service minded friends that meet regularly to pray for our neighborhoods and to plan opportunities to reach out the people around us with the Good News and to meet the needs of the under-served in our community. You’ll find it a great place to serve if topics like prayer, community service and local outreach appeal to you. Leaders and team members with a passion for local outreach are welcome! Weekly Prayer – The Evansville Task Force invites you to join in their Wednesday lunchtime prayer for our community. We gather at noon in room TR201 upstairs and pray from 12:15 -12:45 PM to get you back to work on time. This is an open gathering focused on praying for God to continue to move in our church and in the neighborhoods of our community.
Newcomer Caller – Friendly and outgoing individuals can join our team calling and welcoming new visitors to Crossroads. A cheerful attitude and a love for people is all that’s needed. Training is provided. Serve 1 hour a week from home. Contact Samantha Miller at 858-3080, ext. 308.
Sports Ministry Leadership – We are currently creating a year ‘round calendar of sporting events and activities geared toward reaching out into the community. World Missions
Missions Task Forces – We have established a task force for each nation and region we have actively adopted. These groups of missions-minded people work together to pray for their adopted countries and to provide ministry vision, technical, administrative, and spiritual support for our teams in the field. Prayer Teams – As extensions of our Task Forces, Prayer Teams pray specifically and expectantly for our missionaries and the expansion of God’s Kingdom among the people they serve. Care Teams – As extensions of our Task Forces, Care Teams focus personally and lovingly on one missionary family by communicating, encouraging, blessing, and praying. Short Term Trip Specialist - This detail-oriented person catches the vision for the logistical and administrative process of getting a short-term mission team out on the field, and then helps the Logistics Leader or each team through the process. Missions Researchers – People with skills to dig for details needed to research about least-reached peoples in Africa, North Africa, and Central Asia. Contact Pat Creech at 858-3080, ext. 386.

Facilities, Vehicles & Grounds
Facilities Security – Assist with building security on a weeknight, every other week, from 7:00 PM to closing. Observe building activities during the evening and turn down the lights and set the facility alarms before leaving. No experience necessary, training provided. General Cleaning – Need several flexible volunteers willing to do general light-duty cleaning tasks (light dusting, vacuuming, etc.). Needs may change from week-to-week. Serve 1-2 hours a week. Training and supplies provided. Contact Kevin Springer at 858-3080, ext. 338.
Monday Lobby Cleaning – Clean the Lobby Counters and the main entrance glass doors. Requires 2 hours on Monday morning. Contact Kevin Springer at 858-3080, ext. 338.

Vehicle Cleaning – Need some energetic helpers to keep our church vehicles clean and ready for ministry. We have three passenger vehicles and one box truck that need to be washed and vacuumed on a regular basis (passenger vehicles every other week and the box truck every other month). Media & Technical
Camera Operator – Operate a video camera during worship services and special events. Two of the cameras are stationary and one is a shoulder-resting camera for low angle and stage shots. Camera Switcher – Direct the camera operators during worship services and special events and execute the camera-to-camera transitions. Some level of video production knowledge is helpful but not required. Training is provided. Serve one weekend per month. Contact Marc Saget at 858-3080, ext. 390.
