Crossroads Computer Ministry exists to serve God by giving the staff the computer support and capabilities to further their ministries, while keeping wise stewardship at the forefront of all decisions. We are always adapting our plans and methods to ever changing circumstances as we look for ways to improve the computer capabilities of our staff.
Crossroads Computer Ministry presently supports approximately 80 computers, of which 75% are Macs. Every one of our 14 Pastors, their Administrative Assistants, and our Media team sit in front of Macs; with the PCs being mostly in the Accounting, Facilities, and Daycare areas.
Crossroads uses a wide variety of software in its ministries. We use Microsoft Office packages for both Macs and PCs and have adopted Firefox as our default Internet browser. We use the Adobe suite products such as Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Professional in creating the bulletins, brochures, postcards, banners and other artwork you see. Video work is created using QuickTime Pro and the Final Cut suite of products such as Final Cut Pro and Motion. Crossroads' website was created and is maintained using RapidWeaver.
