Africa is a continent of teenagers. 75% of the population of Sub-Saharan Africa is 21 years of age or younger. Young Life and AfricaHope work investing time, money, and love because they believe that every kid in every country on the African continent should meet Jesus.

Languages: Over one thousand
Religion: 46% Christian, 41% Muslim, 12% indigenous African religions revolving around animism and ancestor worship. The continent has large pockets of people and whole countries without a presence of Jesus.
HIV/AIDS: Africa has 65% of the world-wide AIDS-infected population. 25 million people on the continent HIV-infected. More than eleven million children have been orphaned by AIDS.
Strongholds: Poverty, Disease, Ethnic/Tribal Division, and Lack of Education
