A Vision For Reaching Out Here. Near. Far Away.
God has given us a vision to reach out to people everywhere and share His love and His desire for a renewed relationship with them. That includes people who come
here to our church, those near us in our community and our region, and those far away across the world.
This section of the website will help you understand and connect with us in reaching people here and near through the intentional sharing of the gospel
and through loving acts of service that draw people towards God.
Visit Global Outreach for more on reaching people far away.
Embracing Evangelism
Evangelism is not an outdated term or an ancient practice from a bygone era in church history. The term evangelism simply means to proclaim the gospel of Jesus
Christ—the very thing he commissioned us to do.
Evangelism, witnessing, and sharing your faith are all just terms for the same thing—talking about Jesus with others. It’s not hard, and it’s anything but mundane.
It’s an exciting adventure in meeting people right where they are. It’s about journeying with them into an understanding of grace and an acceptance of God’s provision
through Jesus to heal, restore, and empower their lives.
If you are a Christ-follower, then you can tell people about Jesus. We’ll show you how and we’ll share in your adventure every step of the way!
Serving With Compassion
Jesus was poor and homeless. He places a high priority on serving the poor. He actually describes his true followers as compassionate people who feed the hungry,
clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, and visit the sick and imprisoned. This type of benevolent care is essential to our faith, not only for the benefit of those
being served but also for how it humbles and transforms those doing the serving.
And beyond charity, we can also partner with others in our community to help under-served people improve their lives through large-scale community redevelopment
efforts.
Serving the needs of others provides unique and up-close opportunities to share Jesus with people. And since he is the motivation behind our expressions of love and
service, those we serve are the perfect audience with whom to share the gospel.
