PRAYER FORCE3/29/10

Landon Whitley was a nine-year-old boy whose family was in a bad automobile accident in November of 1997. LandonÕs father was killed in the wreck and Landon was injured so badly that he was taken by helicopter to the hospital. Three times the paramedics had to revive him on the way to the emergency room. He had to undergo brain surgery and was in a coma for several weeks. When he started coming out of the coma, LandonÕs mother dreaded telling him that his father had died in the accident weeks before, because Landon was so close to his dad. But, before his mother could tell him, little Landon said, ÒMom, IÕve been to heaven three times. The first time I saw angels and they were singing and clapping for me. The second time I went, I saw Dad and he was with Jesus. And I wanted to stay with Dad, but,Ó he said, ÒJesus hugged me and told me I had to come back to tell people what I saw.Ó And he said, ÒMom, I also saw your other two children.Ó And the motherÕs breath was taken away because she had had two miscarriages, but she had never told her son about them.

ÒTo be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.Ó

                                                               -2 Corinthians 5:8

Pray with meÉ. Father, there is so much that we experience in this life to connect us to You, so much we see around us to validate your Word, so much we observe from day to day to support your promises. To honestly deny the reality of Your presence in time and space would require more blind faith than we can humanly manufacture. We thank you for the substantive answers in your Word and in the experience of life and living that gives us an affirmative response to the question, ÒIf a man dies, will he live again?Ó We will see you and enjoy you forever in the greater life. In JesusÕ strong name, amen.
